How Do We Worship Together?
Our services are structured in an intentional way, to help us worship God faithfully, meet our Lord Jesus as we hear the Gospel, and to express true repentance and faith as we respond to the truth of God’s Word in prayer, praise, and thanksgiving.
We follow liturgies from the Book of Common Prayer, a set pattern of worship, that is Gospel-shaped, full of Scripture, and which shapes us through the Gospel as it invites us to confess our sins, receive God’s grace, and respond in the power of the Holy Spirit. If this is new to you, don’t worry about making “mistakes” (we all make them). Focus on meeting God as we hear his Word together and honestly come before his throne of grace to find mercy for all our needs.
Holy Communion is our primary liturgy for Sunday services.
We also worship together using Morning Prayer.
When you visit, you will receive a service booklet with the liturgy and an additional booklet with song lyrics and Scripture readings.

When we gather to worship we hear God’s Word in Scripture, pray and sing God’s praises together, hear a sermon that unpacks a passage of Scripture and its implications for our lives and faith.
In our Holy Communion service we also come to the Lord’s Table to receive his grace as our Lord Jesus feeds and strengthens our souls.
We hope that you feel welcomed, regardless of your age or where you are in your life and faith. The Church is not a place where you have to be perfect or where you have to pretend to belong. It is the place where broken people come to meet their Creator and receive his gift of forgiveness and new life in Jesus Christ.

At Immanuel, we love children, youth, and families and want to see them welcomed and flourish in their life with God and one another.
We have lots of children and youth, so you will not feel alone.
We currently offer care and teaching during our service for children in preschool and kindergarten.
Older children and youth currently stay in our services, and we are so happy to have them worshipping with us.

You’ll see people in everything from jeans and t-shirts to dresses and button-downs. We don’t have a dress code—just wear something you feel comfortable and respectful worshipping God in.
